Crawfish farmer caught shooting 20 Ibises in his pond.

Restitution and a fine of $200-$2,000 per bird to be determined in court.

You think shooting them means more won't show up?
Just saying, I get trying to protect the crop and all, but doesn't seem like the risk/reward ratio is worth it in this case.

I thought you could get a permit to shoot birds off of your crop.
Fwiw, the coyote on the fence trick doesn't work. A guy has some property on the way to where I launch my boat. I always look for the coyotes and fresh ones appear on the fence a couple times a year. He's been at it for as long as I remember.
