fingerprinting for CC permit

Can I do it at the State police office where we turn it in? How much do they charge? Money Order only?

If you’re making the trip to the LSP, I highly recommend this vs. having your prints done somewhere else.

Did mine on 3/12/13.
Make sure your bring a separate money order or cashiers check for $10. Won't accept it one one chack and wont take anything else.
Was there about 15 minutes. Lady said congrats you should have your permit in about 120 days.
My question is: Anyone get theirs recently that got it quicker than that?

The wife dropped off and got printed at headquarters on 2/15 permit came in the mail in 5wks

They always tell you 120 days. They told me that in December (right when everyone was freaking out about guns) and it took exactly 1 month.

Yes, having your prints digitally scanned there is supposed to speed up the process and reduce the risk of having them rejected...like mine were.

No fingerprinting in Alabama. We complete the form, turn it in at a window at the courthouse, show DL, and pay our $7.50. We then walk away with CC wallet card in hand.

took about 6 weeks to get mine. wifes came in about a month later, not sue why since i mailed them together. must have a sketchy past

I dropped mine off at HQ on 2/28- hope it comes in in the next 2 weeks!
