He is listed as the # 17 overall prospect and the #1 WR.

How's he listed as the top WR if he's never played WR ?

I know they project but that's cray.

With the amount of camps and things kids can do these days I think it's easier for them to really see, but I agree it is pretty unbelievable.

Good question. They usually list kids like that as an "athlete" which he most definetely is! I am sure he will do well at whatver position he plays.

Dude pulls some Manziel type stuff in the pocket, but then puts the burners on, something Manziel can't do. In the little film I've seen of him at WR, he looks like he can change directions on a dime. As soon as he makes his cut on the slant, he's gone.

Not to hijack the thread, but is Myles Garrett an A&M lock? I just read about him in the article, and he has us in the top-3 on his profile

Recruits usually get the athlete tag when we are not really sure what position they will play at the next level. I don't think there is any doubt that Speedy will be a WR. Same with guys like Early Doucet and Reuben Randle. I know they both played a lot of WR in high school, along with QB...but they were no doubt WR prospects in college.

I don't dispute the #17 ranking but to be considered the #1 wr when he plays wr less than 20% of the time is a bit much. you can't tell that much about a wr from 1 or 2 camps.

Saw that yesterday. Well-deserved.. the distinction, "athlete" does him perfect justice, as he is one of the most athletic players in the country.

You misspelled crazy. For the love of god, it's just a Z. Just type the Z. Cray is not a word.

This happens all the time. Rueben Randall played QB all year his Sr. year. Jai Eugene played some CB, but he played more QB in HS. Didn't Diarse play QB his Sr. year, or am I thinking of Tyler Cain?

YES!!!

I don't know why, but that word absolutely infuriates me. It's so ridiculous and lazy.

Just one of those things.

Thats Kray is actually a term. is a slang term.

What are our chances with Clifton Garret and Myles?

I have seen them mentioned on this board before.
