Ouch, that's not too impressive since speed was supposed to be his forte.

Maybe he will slide to the middle of round 1.

A lot of times have been slower than expected - Ogletree ran a 4.7 at the combine, and Minter and Te'o ran 4.8's.

some players aren't work out warriors.

Jones should do fine in the NFL.

Over 90% of TD posters ran faster than that in high school.

I agree that some aren't workout warriers. I actually didn't expect Minter or Te'o to be burners, since they play faster on the field by having great instincts.

But I did think Jones and Ogletree would be faster since both were hyped as athletic freaks.

Are there any current successful NFL LBs that ran 4.9 to point to? I'm honestly asking.

Ray Lewis probably ran a 5.3 this year, but he was pretty horrid this season.

Who was the poster saying they ran a 4.3?

I'd be really concerned. It's not like he's T-Sizzle big either.

A 4.8 for a MLB is pretty common

He's supposed to be an OLB with elite pass rushing skills.

I'm not saying he won't make an impact on the NFL level, but if I'm looking for a pass rush in the top 10, I'm very worried about taking him.

He's going to slide. I've had a feeling this was coming, he really doesn't look fast on the field. he's got good pass rushing skills and good instincts though. But like someone said in the thread, he isn't that big, not that athletic, not great against the run and has a medical condition. He could slip out of the top 20.

Agree. But everyone was falling over themselves when Te'o ran a 4.8. I could only laugh since most MLBs run that time especially guys slated for a 3-4.

Jones is a really good pass rusher. Not great against the run. But still a very good prospect.

Teo already had the baggage and the shaky film. He needed to go out there and turn heads and then he ran that and it didnt help his cause at all.

I don't think there's any way he's not there at 15 now.

I don't really agree. I don't consider the catfishing thing baggage. Weird for sure, but not a character issue. And his film is shaky? He had a bad game against Bama. So did Ogletree and Jones; they were on skates all game. But that has a lot to do with Warmack and the rest of that OL.
