ive been looking to bring my horse to ride somewhere besides around the house. I was thinking about checking out the trails at sherburne. I know some people go ride in forest hills. anyone been to these places or have any suggestions? I probably wouldnt want to go anywhere farther than 1-1.5 hours.

the only shite they have around opelousas is black trail rides where they blast music all weekend and aggravate everyone, not to mention straight up abuse alot of the horses.

And how!

They've now evolved to overnighters.

Sandy Hollow WMA is a little farther, but they have stables as trail for riding. They burn this WMA for quail and the woods and cover is more open. I have seen people out there with horses most times I have been.

my parents live by the yambilee. its awful. party starts friday and doesnt end till 8-9pm sunday. they setup the band in the arena outside and play the music so loud it can be hard for at least 2 miles in any direction. its like torture.

then on sunday afternoon about 500 brothers on horses with a music truck blaring "we run this" come down the road throwing trash everywhere. its a 60 year old white mans worst nightmare.

Why don't you call up a state trooper to ticket them for littering?

Lucky 4b guest ranch in melder or brushy creek in gloster, ms are both decent options around here. I live right by fraziers. It's ok if you're close but I wouldn't drive from Opelousas for it.
