There is one in Lake Charles, I know. But now where I live Kroger is just about my only option. We have Fresh Market/Whole Foods and Costco, but your regular grocery store not so much.

Eta: for clarity

I can buy cashew butter and almond butter (crunchy almond butter will change your life)

I recently bought some MaraNatha all natural Almond Butter, the creamy version. Definitely tastes like almonds. I find many of the natural versions have too much oil/liquid floating at the top when opening and pour out 1/3 to 1/2 of the excess and like it better, otherwise it is too runny.

I buy MaraNatha too. The crunchy version is better than the creamy, IMO. And it's not super crunchy like crunchy peanut butter, just a thicker, better consistency.

As for your oil problem, try putting it in the fridge once you open it. Creamy almond butter was a little runny for me, but crunchy was almost exactly a peanut butter consistency. I keep both in the refrigerator.

As do I, but it is still runny after stirring, which is why I prefer to pour some off.
