Because I always end up having to pit $5000 in my IRA to avoid having to owe. I want to see if a professional can make a difference

You sound absolutely clueless. Go see a CPA this time. Check around for good reviews but just about anyone will help you become more educated as to what goes on with your finances. However, your money is a major aspect of you life and you need to spend some time learning more for yourself. Dont let someone else drive that car when you can steer yourself and always ensure that you are comfortable with your fiscal moves. Just MHO, take it FWIW.

Ugh, you frickers. I never said contributing was a bad thing. I do monthly. I just asked a simple question. Can one of you Donald Trumps just answer it?

And just because I don't do my own taxes doesn't mean I'm clueless.

You might not be clueless but you damn sure need to get a better grip on things. Im not being an a-hole, Im telling you that you to help you.

BTW if you have to contribute to your IRA to avoid owing then I suggest you adjust your witholdings throughout the year so that you can come out even sans the IRA contribution.

If you're really this worried about it and need a hand holding through your first time, just buy TurboTax and do it yourself. If you're worried about owing money change your tax deductions at work (or boost your quarterlies), otherwise it seems like you've got a good balance when your IRA contributions are the deciding factor between owing and not owing.

If you owe a little then you're doing it right. If you are getting something back that just means you gave Uncle Sam an interest-free loan.

And it's also a good thing to contribute to your IRA.

Sounds like you're doing just fine.

He does the same thing on The Rant. He'll ask for information and then cuss out anyone who tries to answer his question.

I have a feeling 'daddy' spoiled that boy.......

Exactly. The IRS are way more reasonable than people think. You think they didn't have daddies that neglected them too?
