Is he going to be a primary blocking TE or has he been under utilized in Chicago?

You can't sign a player for less, so either you didn't know that or are suggesting he isn't worth signing.
I agree with the latter.

I was saying this guy should be signed for somewhere around the league minimum.
I'd much rather get a cheap 5th round rookie stud O-lineman or DT than a rookie TE
However, I agree on not breaking Paddy's piggy bank over this guy

On a serious note. We can't be offering anymore than Thomas was making, unless they just didn't feel good about his concussion/injury issue.
Also, the Pats released Brandon Lloyd. We should. Depending on money, obviously.

For a #2 TE, I wouldnt mind Davis, at the right price. Hes got #1 experience and is a better blocker than he is at catching the ball, which is what we need. Plus, hes a big target and if he improves on his catching could become a somewhat threat.

I like Kelce a lot. 1 of my favorite guys in the draft. But, assuming we dont trade back, I dont want to take him with our #2 pick. We have bigger needs than TE at the moment.
