One of the biggest surprises for me. Its hard to believe, Makes my concern for the DLine even greater.

I thought the same thing unless they just want a little more depth..

It's not too surprising for me. He's one of our bigger linebackers and we have lots of linebackers compared to DEs until all the freshmen arrive

We only have Rasco, Hunter and Allen healthy at DE right now so Feist is needed there

He will practice there until the freshman DL show up this summer and he will go back to LB I believe

It's almost like running a 3-4

If he's really 6 2 230 then he may be a good fit on some situations at DE. But his best chance for big time success in the SEC is at Mike at least thats what i thought.
It was a big surprise to me, but CLM seems to find a diamond in the rough every yr. Id like to see a few of his reps against Collins or Alexander, they are both huge compared to him.
ipod King may be right it could be just as simple as too many LB'ers standing around and too many reps for the DE's.

Just a body for practice until the rest of the signing class shows up. Hell be back at LB in the fall but playing on the line for a spring wont hurt him. Maybe hell pick up something's he wouldn't normally at LB

Mingo was light until last year and he still didn't weigh over 250 and he is considered the first lsu player taken in the draft. Feist might be a beast at DE. Plenty of people didn't believe in mingo when he first got to LSU.

This. And out of all our LBers, he's the only 1 that could play DE IMO. When Herron, Neal, Patterson, and Bower get here, he will move back to LB.

Good god we got a lot of good DEs last class.
