I didnt see where this had been posted yet but Tiger rag reported that at yesterdays prectice Cam had Magee in the wildcat and pistol. He even threw some passes with the QBs I for one think it's about time we find a place for this guy on the field. He has the potential to be a big game changer.

RS threw passes his freshman year at practice. Problem is that he couldn't even come close to hitting a target. Worst passer than Ware.

I saw him make our first string defense look absolutely silly in a scrimmage freshman year from the qb position.

We aren't going to turn this into a Shepard thread right?

As for Magee: With the way Coach Miles likes to go 4 deep at the RB position, he will get his opportunity.

I just remember the UF game. We need to scrap the wildcat.

Wildcat =/= running into the middle of a huge scrum between the tackles

Meh, I just don't see it. Hill and Blue are too good. If Hilliard gets back in a groove, I don't see Magee taking many snaps at RB unless one of them goes down or maybe in a blowout. I think he will get some play time, but not much at RB. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think Hill and Blue will get the majority but all 4 will get snaps. In 2011 we used Ware, Ford, Blue, Hilliard, and even Magee very sparingly. In 2012 we used Hill, Blue, Hilliard, Ware, and Ford. Yes I'm aware Blue went down, Hilliard didn't play much late, and Hill was the man, but I expect us to go 4 deep as well this year, with one or two getting the vast amount of carries.

Scrap the wildcat?

We've never even ran a real wildcat before.

Yeah but as much as I hate to say it, Hill/Blue > Ware/Ford. If Hill and Blue are dozing through defenders, they're not gonna get pulled out the game much. Ware and Ford didn't exactly light the world on fire every game. They had their moments, but seemed inconsistent. Not ragging on players, because I liked them. Just saying. Blue and Hill are gonna explode in Cams offense.

Edit: and Magee will too when he gets his chance.

Magee is a much different back than the others, i see him being used as a change of pace when the defense is wore down.

Didn't McGee play a couple plays from the wildcat last year? I remember him throwing a pass on a short yardage (possibly 4th) down. It was a dud, and the play was well covered.
