with chase daniels leaving for free agency the obvious need FOR the saints is backup QB. but there are also other needs. like backup TE and OL. jamarcus is still YOUNG enough to contribute if not at 2nd or emergency QB then possibly at a new trade on the lines. TIGHT end would be ideal as he's got the height, the brauns and the brains and the hands to be effective.
he could also provide depth if we give him a year to "fill" out on the OL.no doubt the man has a cannon and he's looking for a SHOT. at the min, who can deny him??? C'MON mick, make DAT bama boy STICK :whodath:

Why?
No way in hell do the Saints need to take a chance on him. I guess if he offered to play a year for free and agreed to wash Benson's car once a week, we should maybe consider it.

Put me down as someone who would love to see Russell here for the preseason. The worst case scenario is it gives us another reason to watch the preseason games. Best case scenario is that the light bulb goes off for Russell under Payton.

Someone WHO actually gets it. There's literally no downSIDE to bringing in Jamarcus the darkness. At best he becomes a decent backup at one of the three positions AND becomes trade bait. He wants to still be a frickup we cut him and lose nothing

I will be pissed if I hear that my beloved Saints gave JaWalrus Ruffles a tryout. He is not worth a look. The only thing they should call him about is if they need a good restaurant suggestion.
