I was offered a S&W 65, 4 1/2in barrel 357mag for my Taurus PT111 Millinnium Pro 9mm and 500+ rounds of ammo.

The Taurus could be had new for around $350 so I put a used value on it at around $275. The 9mm rounds I would value at around $300.

I don't have pictures yet. But assuming his S&W is in good shape, should I do this trade? I'm leaning toward Yes, but I'm giving up a bunch of ammo. Help me out OB.

Good deal but good luck finding ammo. If you do, dont tell Jab where you got it from.

I would hate giving up that amount of ammo. Do you have any other 9mm's to use it for or planning on buying one in the future? If not go for it.

No sense in hoarding all of that pea shooting bullets anyways.

I would keep 100 rounds of ammo.

I'm not giving up all of my ammo. I'll still have a couple hundred rounds left.

I've been aching to get another wheel gun, and 357mag is a caliber that I haven't own yet. I'm aware how difficult it will be to get ammo for it, but I have a guy.

Thanks everyone for the imput.

I would do it. I don't see a reason not to.

Any time you can rid yourself of a Taurus and end up with a S&W in return, you do it.
