| Mathieu on NFL Network--Panel Interview in Studio (Posted on 3/14/13 at 8:30 am)
Anyone else see this? I think the kid looks ready. I really believe he has had enough people surrounding him this past 8 months to help him realize the true one-shot opportunity he has. Intersting answer to a question about Rob Ryan drafting him for the saints "ah, I don't know...they would definitely have to come up with a good plan to keep me out of harms way" Sounds like the kid knows NO is bad news for him. I really believe the best thing for him would be to be in a new city far away from the south with some good vets around him and a coach who will stay on him. Good luck Tyrann. best Tiger I ever watched play

as good as he may appear now, it's just a matter of time before he starts getting into trouble at the NFL level. Once he gets that paper, people will look in the other direction once he starts breaking them off a little.

So if he's in nola he cant stop himself from getting in trouble? Yea, he sounds mature.

so he thinks the saints need to come up with a plan to keep him out of trouble if he goes there? doesn't sound very professional but whatever. He needs to get away from La.

It doesn't matter where you live. Bad decisions have the same result. Maybe he'll turn it around, but I doubt it. If I were an owner, I wouldn't want him on my team. To many other great players and adults out there that you don't have to babysit like a 2 year old.

Who cares. Never seen a person who dumped on something we all love (LSU football) get this much admiration and attention. It's time to take the honey badger posters down off your bedroom walls... He gone. Move on.

Over coming yourself is probably the most difficult thing we do in life. Temptations abound and people are easily led astray. If you have never experienced this then you are an exception not the rule.

Talk is cheap. Everytime he was interviewed while at LSU he came across as a really likeable guy. You can't fix stupid.

Bull shite. If i went up to a college kid with this offer right now most would kill for it. Go to school for free. Youre treated like royalty on campus and around it. In 4 years you will have a job that will pay you an average of a million dollars, for lets say 10 years. When thats over, youre pretty much guaranteed a job back in town when done. 1 stipulation. You cant smoke dope I think most college kids would kill for that

I think that is his most likely destination. They have a history taking talented but "troubled" players and trusting that their system will straighten the guy out. It would be a great situation for TM7. As for the NO comments, do y'all really think what he said was that far off base? I mean, this guy lost so much due to him falling in line with hometown friends. Now sure, it's ultimately his fault and his decisions, but come on. Of course he is going to be more likely to fall into old, familiar way when surrounded by old, familiar people from his life. If he goes to NOLA, they very much need to find a plan which keeps him out of those habits, and that will be tougher to do than in a place like NE.

Or you can just grow up, concentrate on football, and have enough self discipline to keep yourself out of trouble.

sure everyone can say that him stating that he would need help if he were to remain in new orleans means he hasnt changed. i choose to look it as a MAN recognizing his faults and addressing the issue before he is tempted.

I'd say a MAN should be able to make rational decisions that dont get him in trouble.
