| CERN confident they have discovered the Higgs Boson (God particle) (Posted on 3/14/13 at 7:13 am)
CERN finds Godquote:
CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, announced today that after extensive testing it was “looking more and more” like the particle which they discovered last year was the Higgs boson.
quote:
“The preliminary results with the full 2012 data set are magnificent and to me it is clear that we are dealing with a Higgs boson though we still have a long way to go to know what kind of Higgs boson it is.” said CMS spokesperson Joe Incandela
quote:
Whether or not it is a Higgs boson is demonstrated by how it interacts with other particles, and its quantum properties. A Higgs boson should have no spin, and in the Standard Model its parity – a measure of how its mirror image behaves – should be positive. The latest set of experiments tested both the spin and parity, and showed that there was no spin and positive parity. This, coupled with the measured interactions with other particles, strongly indicates that it is a Higgs boson, CERN believe.

We should be doing this.

It means they have found the sub-atomic particle that led to creation of everything, ie the God particle. They can successfully and scientifically refute God as it was. I can't wait until this gone over on Big Bang Theory.

Higgs Boson gives thing mass and allows particles to form other things that have mass. It is called the God particle because it is sorta what allows matter to exist in various forms.

How can they prove that God didn't create the particle?

I surely hope they haven't convinced themselves that this would be the outcome of this.

It's really funny that atheists think that this is the key to killing "God" and religion. "God" and religion are going no where, regardless of any findings any where throughout history.

Not true. It does not refute God.

Well you're kinda right. There's no proof now, and people still believe whatever they are going to believe.
