We are still evaluating him but there are higher players on the board at the moment....he could eventually earn an offer though...

He looks like he has a lot of bad weight from pictures. Not sure if that's a reason for the "wait and see" recruiting approach

I think he could move inside, because the footwork is not all there. And I know weight would be an issue but we could redshirt him and get him down 15 pounds.

It's going to be interesting to see all the collateral offers extended due to Number 5.

He needs to lose about 30-40.

from LSU?

I wouldn't consider him a "collateral offer" just to get fournette. He actually is worthy of offers.

He has a few nice offers so far

JP will be good... Kid sprained his MCL during the beginning of his soph yr and missed most of the season... He was evaluated at both DT & OG his jr season until the coach decided his placement would be on O... He definitely gained some weight though and is working on dropping it by request...

I don't think it would be a bad idea to keep him heavy and put him at guard for run blocking. Like we will most likely do with fehoko fanaika.

Not necessarily Joseph, and I don't think LSU would do this with every spot so valuable this year. I just think there will be some guys getting bigger offers because of LF. Happens every year somewhere.

I GUARANTEE you if these coaches saw him right now and his teammate wasn't Leonard Fournette his offer list would not include the likes of UF, A&M, Texas and FSU.

Then again, the coaches would never see him opening holes if they were not reviewing Fournette's film.
Perhaps Fournette is making him look better than he is, or perhaps Paul is one of the reasons that Fournette is so good.
We will see.

Pauls film isn't anything special. Nothing more than a big kid owning much smaller kids...and not because of technique.
I've watched Fournette's film over the last 2 seasons and no 1 OL on his team stood out. Paul included.
St. Aug is always chock full of 300+lb OL. When Turner came out, it was clear he was a very very good prospect. He played with good technique while also having college size for a interior player. Austin was definitely a project coming out similar to what Paul would be IMO (definitely has better feet than Paul). Except Austin wasn't in nearly of bad shape as Paul is right now. I just really dont think Paul would having anytihng but mid major and lower tier BCS offers right now if it wasn't for LF.
Did Paul even start as a young guy on St. Aug?

Flurida and the ags have offered him, maybe he's legit? No BAMA offer though.. So he must be worthless..

Hes a guard prospect. Gonna continue to be evaluated and it'd help him to lose some weight as said earlier.
I kinda doubt he makes it into lsu's class, especially with the way the numbers are. I actually wouldnt be surprised if lsu took 3 OL instead of 4 which seems to be the number now. If we lock up CR and GB then we could possibly be set. Were not losing a whole lot on the line this year and the chances we sign a full 25 man class seen to be pretty slim
