If GK had stuck to his commit would we not have gotten the two QB we took this year? Curious if his presence would have had a negative effect on us getting Anthony Jennings and Hayden Rettig.
GK was touted as the number one recruit in the nation, and now he is a bench warmer at ND. Does that mean the number one ranking was over done, or is ND Current QB talent that good?

GK may have screwed LSU over but LSU certainl screwed him over as well. He was highly ranked but as soon as he committed to LSU he started dropping in the rankings. The negative LSU mojo all over him still hasn't worn off an now he is having to transfer and sitout. Would have been much better for him if he had never committed to LSU.

He just doesn't seem to fit into ND's offensive system. Like most here,I think things worked out better for LSU.

I couldn't imagine the hate miles would've gotten had gunner came here, not panned out, sat the bench and transferred.

Poor miles would've been absolutely raked over the coals for no reason whatsoever. Guy can't catch a break.

Sorry, a little amped. Just came from the secr

I guess the rankings we get too fired up about...

lots of kids don't pan out

he may be a late bloomer, who knows

4 years go by quick.. Hard to develop on the bench

I like our guys, they have great resolve

You dont like Miller???? I think we could have used him...

Without a shred of doubt. Especially a year like last year that methodically dealt us one injury after another. I am never one to bad mouth a recruit for his decision, but frick Gunner Kiel. That was about as deceitful of a move as a signee can pull.

Idk if you saw any of Auburn games last year but PM was getting his arse tore up out there in every Auburn game I watched (Not saying it was all of them)....PM seemed to have a big problem with moving his feet and handling SEC edge rushers. I'm more than sure everyone is prolly going to say well look he was just a true freshman but on the flip side look at how Vadal graded out last year... I would definitely say an upgrade and it worked out better for us in the end. GK could have been the heir to the throne here but.... Oh well

I think Cam (an Indiana two-sport legend) is recruiting Gunner to, "chest-up", respond to his initial yearning and come be a Tiger!
[I've actually wondered in retrospect if Cam was actively involved on Les' behalf in his initial recruitment?]

Didn't that early enrollee situation involve Patrick Miller? If it is well let's just say it worked out that we ended up with neither

Miller looks pretty legit. Who knows what would have happened if he had made it here? With Vadal as our starting RT, he probably wouldn't have played much last year, if at all.

I don't believe he would have played tackle for us (although with the staggering amount of injuries we incurred last year, he might have), but I remember us recruiting him as a guard.

This...agreed and well said...I'll take Jennings and Rettig any day...in fact, I'll take any player who has the Tigers in their heart and knows LSU is the best place for them...

No -- it would have been more deceitful if he had pretended that he had the stones to be an SEC QB when in fact he doesn't...

What about Janzen Jackson's move? Glad we didn't end up with that clown.
