Williams still thinks Gordon is his best closer on the team. He referred back to last season when Gordon made a game-clinching jumper with 4.2 seconds remaining to lift the Hornets’ 85-84 season-opening victory against the Phoenix Suns as proof. Gordon missed all but nine games last season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
"I firmly believe this is going to be a year that’s a bit spotty for him, then next year he’s going to have a breakout season,’’ Williams said. "That usually how it goes for those coming off surgery and rehab. The thing about him is that this is the most he’s played in about 2 1/2 years. I look for him to have one of those seasons where everybody says,`` Ok that’s what we’re talking about.’’

Good. Situations like last night, the ball should be primarily in Gordon's hands.

The guy is still not healthy and I really think playing him is doing more harm than help.

I'm looking forward to EG having more 3 for 11 type second halves as opposed to his current 1 for 4 types.

A slightly healthier injury/pain/malady is still an injury/pain/malady.
He's hurting and shouldn't be playing.

If by playing he can't injure his knees further, he should play.
You know the saying, there's a difference between playing hurt and playing injured.

Its a lose lose situation for Gordon.
Play hurt and look bad on the court or don't play at all.
Either way he gets destroyed.

Let's be honest. Part of our fanbase were attacking him from the moment he he got here and showed that he was upset he was traded. Had that "my heart is in Phoenix" quote never came out, people would still be criticizing him. Especially if he sat out even longer this season than he did. That quote didn't help his case at all. But even if that never happened, there would still be pressure from the fanbase to play him.

99% of people understood him being upset when he was traded. No one held that against himin fact people were hoping once he got here he would see we would embrace him.,I don't really think fam base was in attack mode from day 1.
Now I can't speak for others but I got over his crying from the summer. My prob with him is his lack of shooting ability and his crucial late game turnover that is higher than his ft %.

My man Monty. 
Monty really does need to run the offense through Gordon to close out games. I like Greivis but he has shown that he is bad at getting good shots late. He forces things instead of finding openings like he does throughout most of the game.

What's he supposed to say? Gordon is the team's scorer. He's getting paid to take those shots.
