Walking by the old Le Petite Theatre on St. Peter and Chartres, I saw alot of construction and remodeling going on. There's also a liquor permit notice on the door. Does anyone know the plans? Is it going to be a restaurant? bar? Any details? Great space..

Someone posted a big article about it last week. Dickie Brennans is making a very nice restaurant in half the building. The theatre itself is going through a renovation also.

There was a video tour of the work being done on nola.com a few weeks ago, I believe. They're doing a lot with the theatre. It also showed an outdoor patio space which will be used by the restaurant when there isn't a production going on.

When I first saw the thread, I thought it meant the theater was biting the dust. Glad to see that it's being preserved. Have spent a few good nights there, watching shows and looking for ghosts that I know don't exist.

You can see this space when you walk outside the building. The did a great job restoring it.

The Tennessee Williams Literary Festival was held there a few years back.. Now, the festival symposiums will be at different venues. Once the Theatre is remodeled, hopefully the Literary Festival will return. TWLF by the way, is March 20-24th. Tennessee Williams Literary Festival
