Anyone have one? I'm thinking about getting one to snipe squirrels with without the neighbors knowing.

I have one of them that shoots .22 pellets and the little shot shells. Shells are worthless and it's not extremely accurate with the .22's.

They're actually pretty loud. And as you can see, 1250fps is faster than the speed of sound, so the pellet itself will have quite a report. I used to shoot one in my backyard when I was younger but my yard was pretty big.

Also, those guns are brutal on scopes. They produce a lot of internal recoil.

There is a crossman on sportwoot.com today for $80 with a scope, its shoots .177......its says 1200f fps.

ETA: dont be sniping squirrels unless youre going to eat them.

I have that exact one. The scope sucks. Lost zero after a few months and had to be replaced. Does have a year warrenty though. If you replace the scope make sure its one built for a spring style air rifle.

And it will kill a squirrel dead thats for sure.

Mine is picky on ammo. The Gammo Impact lead pellets shoot really well out of it, but I tried a tin of crossman pellets and they were loose in the barrel and didnt shoot straight.

Listen to this man. Shooting .22 subsonics is quieter than a magnum .177 airgun. The airgun also has an unpleasant recoil.

Fact.

If you want something quieter, look at the Benjamin Nitro Piston.

yeah, it's a pellet gun. It's pretty good at 20 yards though, which is enough for back yard shooting.

ETA: I put a pellet through a squirrels eye ball from my living room couch through an open window at about 15 yards.
