Liberal arts is essentially getting a degree in an extracurricular activity.

That is General Studies. Not Liberal Arts. LA is not a major. Perhaps these days they call GS LA because it sounds cool.

But I've got a degree sitting in my closet that says I have a Liberal Arts Degree from Centenary College with a Major in my field.

Every biology student in my class who went on to Med School had a Liberal Arts Degree. You cannot graduate from Centenary without a Lib Arts Degree. It simply means that you must meet a core curriculum over a wide variety of disciplines PLUS meet the requirements of your major field of study.

Because the poster I was responding to is already aware of the current executives lies, he just seemd to think it was unprecedented or something.

Yes, wake up to the fact that they're all the same.

I don't assume someone is a Bush lover every time they criticize Obama.

Deflector shields deployed.

Why is it that every time someone is criticized for their view, all of a sudden the critic is assumed to be an Obama supporter?

It's like some kind of weird knee-jerk reaction.

No, he is saying all Presidents lie because we can't handle the truth.

I never said I was "middle of the road", but I didn't vote for Obama.

My vote has NEVER gone to the winner of a presidential election.

Some notable candidates that got my vote:

Lyndon Larouche
Ross Perot
Ralph Nader

Notice a pattern?

None of them had a (D) or (R) next to their name on the ballot.

No link but saw a video last night that showed a clip from the 3rd Presidential debate. Obama said he proposed the sequestor. Fast forward to some statements he made recently that it was the Republicans fault. He denied proposing the sequestor. that is one lie right there . A real big one.

so Then why post that others have lied?

Obama is the CURRENT president. His lies have effects NOW.

So this obviously means you KNOW he is a liar, and were merely trying to either:

1) deflect

2) Use a logical fallacy

Which one was it champ?

You'd make a good politician because you're ability to be dishonest is easily on par with any pol I've seen.

I see two facts that destroy your pretense in this thread.

1)I can guarantee that when Bush was president and "lied" or did anything wrong, you did NOT run to that thread and note that "every pol lies" and ignore the issue at hand. Nay nay, I suspect that you piled on like crazy in the anti-Bush bitch session.

2)Now, every time a thread noting an issue with Obama comes up, you run to the thread to point out what his predecessors did while pretty much never taking issue with Obama.

Yep. You're naturally dishonest. Ever think of running for office?

I don't think the sequester remarks even rank as high as Obama claiming the Benghazi attack was a response to some bad film.

All right, smart ass, put up or shut up...

...link?

I may have pointed out where Bush lied and people died, but I never implied it was unprecendented.

That's my point, it's not that we shouldn't point out inconsistancies, but let's not pretend that this is the worstest president evah and lies in any unprecedented manner. THAT'S my point.

Trying to take credit for across the board federal spending cuts, and then shirking them off on the other party when they appear to be politically unpopular is not quite saying we won't engage in nation building, and then invade a sovereign nation at the loss of thousands of lives. It's also not as bad as saying 'I didn't frick that chick' under oath - when you did.

But then, I don't come to this board to read objective criticisms. It's more like the political cartoon in the opinion section.
