His knowledge of the game is so impressive. I will sit down and watch a game he is calling regardless of the score of who is playing just because i know i will learn a few new things about basketball.

Bob Knight may give you insight into basketball, but Bill Walton provides the most color to his commentary.

He has definitely lost a step or two this year. In the past, he was so good. I believe ESPN isn't picking up his contract next year.

SHOT FAKE!!!

but really, no. he's so good that he's basically getting fired. he used to be pretty solid and he certainly does a good job of talking about the basketball side, but he isnt all that great at the job. very repetitive and often times flat out wrong about current state of CBB, teams, players, etc...

i like him but there are better guys out there and i get why espn doesnt want him back.

He was so right about how good a point guard Steph Curry would be in the NBA. He predicted the shite out of that.

He always sounds too angry though.

In all sports, I think John Madden is the best.

He knows the game. That's a given. I'm not sure that he articulates it in language that the casual fan understands on a consistent basis.
