And the "ineligible" Vandebilt player's parents are filing a lawsuit.

This was discussed here a couple of days ago...Vandebilt had to forfeit a win vs. Salmen for using an ineligible player...Salmen was inserted back into the bracket, but not within 48 hours of game time, so St. Michael appealed.

Read all about it here...

But the Houma Courier reported Thursday morning that the parents of the player ruled ineligible plan to file a lawsuit in state district court on Thursday to block Henderson’s ruling.

Private school problems. We wouldn't be dealing with this if there was a split.

Yeah we would...it has to do with the player transferring between two private schools...she left one private school in 7th grade to go to Vandebilt and apparently never sat out a year.

So I will assume Vanderbilt is still trying to fight this.......Meaning both Salmen and Vanderbilt get to prepare for St. Michael while St. Michael has to prepare for 2 teams

Student actually finished 7th grade at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary in Thibodaux and her 8th grade year would normally have been at E. D. White. Instead, she went to Vandebilt and was on the varsity basketball then. That is the year she should have been ruled ineligible. Why is this just being looked at now?

She is in 8th grade now? This is a ruling on a past season?

And now Vanderbilt is apparently playing, but there will be another decision in morning by LHSAA. I know most do not care about girls high school basketball including myself, but I find it really funny that the LHSAA chooses to worry so much about this situation when there is cheating all over the place in football and guys basketball. Guys transfer all over the place to play basketball with their friends from AAU

District Judge placed a temp. Restraining order on the ruling made by lhsaa to remove vandy from competition. So they are officially back in.

Girls basketball should be equal to football in their eyes

She is in 10th grade now. The ruling is for current season. She is in her third year at Vandebilt and never sat out a year. Why didn't someone question this previously to where she would have been ruled ineligible back then.

First of all, it was a joke.

Second of all, if the "selects" left the LHSAA, then this wouldn't be an issue.
