I like the weekly CBO thread. It gives me the opportunity to express my love/hate feelings about City Cafe...Have I mentioned that they need to hire someone who knows how to cook yet?

I went there for brunch at enjoyed it. Never been for dinner, with the exception of the AYCE crawfish which were pretty good.

I've never eaten the brunch. Maybe the real cook leaves by the time I get there..Yes, the crawfish are good.

And Rag, I agree. Very nice folks at City Cafe.

The one time I had crawfish at city cafe, they were busted up and broken.. Dirty/gritty.. And there was more grass in the tray than crawfish.
I must have just caught a bad day if everyone else likes their crawfish.

The 9 or 10 times that I've had crawfish there the past couple of years, they've been good. Yeah, bad day I guess.

I hae only had the brunch there one time.. I dont remember what I ordered off the brunch menu.. I do remember that I had a dozen CBOs along with it though.

If City Cafe fixed the rest of the menu it could be a great place. The change of location turned out nice. Someone will have to let me know if they improve though because I will only be ordering CBOs.

BTW they really really need to fix the shrimp and grits... uh it a grit cake crap. I look at that and think WHY??? I cant tell you how many times I have been there to hear someone about to order it then the server states that its a grit cake then they change their order.

Steven is a cutie pie. I'm sure there are a lot of broken hearted milfs in the Hickory Ridge, Shenandoah & White Oak areas now that he's gone.
