All in all, solid episode. And I agree that it won't take long for Cutty to realize that Gov is insane and flip back to Rick's side. Also, the more Rick comes back to reality, the more he'll realize how valuable Cutty's crew can be.

Yeah. Except for that dickbag and his son. They should be zombie food.

I will say that being that she WALKED to the prison so quickly, it's amazing to me that these two groups haven't ever come across each other before, or that Gov's crew hasn't even discovered the prison, but whatever.

They knew it was there, but overrun with walkers at the time, remember when he looked to Merle and said 'I thought you said it was impossible, how many people do you think it would have taken?" So they knew about the prison, then even later said the people of Woodbury wouldn't want to move there because it wouldn't feel normal.

At a minimum security should be stepped up and walkers killed at the fence.

The walkers provide security for those inside. The Governor has to get through the walkers before he can attack the people inside. As Merle said, the Governor could wait and starve out the people inside, but that would go against his character. He wants to inflict harm upon them himself.

The actor playing Tyrese was Cutty on The Wire.

I thought it was a solid episode. I think Carl telling Rick to quit and chill out really got his attention.

I like Merle going around the camp trying to make up w everyone. Seems legit.

I think you could see what was coming when Tyrese group tells the Gov about the Prison. I'm sure they go attack it in the back just how they got in.

why aren't they clearing out the zombies in the yard again?

I was wondering that as well. I guess maybe because they are always leery that the Gov is out in the woods waiting to shoot?

That has to be why, because they showed us how easy it is to do...draw walkers to fence, stick sharp things through fence. The run-down gates/fences from the bread truck should be easily fortifiable...just use something to "tie" the gates back up or park vehicles in the openings. You could easily block the entrance with the bread truck and slash the tires. No walkers are getting past that (humans could, but they could hop.cut the fences anyway).

I mean valuable in terms of they are 4 able-bodied people in pretty good shape. That's useful in a ZA.

Other than that, I agree that the only cool ones are Cutty and the chick. But I'm not sure the other two will last much longer anyway.

They were also worried about the ammo supply....I know, finally.

I actually like this episode better than the last. I have friends at work who raved about last weeks, but I didn't like it. They also didn't like this one, but I did. Maybe I am arse backwards.

I think that's the reason. That doesn't stop them from clearing the rest of the prison though. They've holed themselves up in that one cell block. Think if they cleared the rest of the prison how much more supplies they may be able to find. Even if it's just metal tables and shite to turn on their sides for barricades.

They've been killing zombies long enough to know how to clear the place efficiently. Now that they have Merle and the black chick, they could easily sweep the prison with little to no ammo being used.

ETA: Also, after clearing the prison, they could find the breaches in the building and fortify those as well to add more safety.

Forgot about that...I really liked Merle in this episode. He definitely seemed legit. Also liked how Herschel went at Merle man to man and tried to understand him...that was a great scene. The conversation at the end with Daryl, Herschel, and Rick was cool too, with Daryl ackowledging that Merle could be a problem:

Rick: "I'm super glad you came back. Really glad. But if something happens with Merle, it's on you."
Daryl: "I got him."

Oh, and it was awesome and got me all pumped up at the beginning when Herschel screamed at Rick "GET BACK HERE!!!" Rick needs someone to put him in his place, and Herschel did that I hope. I loved him telling Rick "You said this wasn't a democracy anymore....you have to live up to that."

Without Rick's leadership, the group is basically lost. Until he figures his issues out I wouldn't expect the group to start making good decisions.

"Get back Here!!!"

and

Zombie curb stomp were my favorite parts.

I didnt see it as "filler" more then character development and plot advancement. Some people want a ZA on fast forward or DVR so they can skip the parts that make up a story and go straight to zombie slaying and shoot em up scenes.

I never watch Talking Dead, but I was flipping channels last night and saw a clip on TD about the making of that scene where Andrea chops off ole boy's arms and curb stomps his jaw. It was pretty cool.

Makes you wonder why with all the free cars out there are they dring a little shite arse hatchback car when they could be driving a 4x4 with a winch, big arse grill, etc. I mean there were like 10000 cars stuck out on the highway that they could have chosen from. Weren't they just outside of Atlanta? I'm sure there was a good truck somewhere.

Unless you have a shitload of fuel stabilizer all of the vehicles would be useless in about a year.
