first sentence.

quote:

[quote]Biggest Free Agents » LT Jermon Bushrod: Loomis has identified retaining Bushrod as his top challenge this offseason. At age 28, Bushrod will be seeking his last big contract after settling for a reasonable two-year deal in 2011. Loomis could have competition from a team such as the Chicago Bears if Bushrod is allowed to test the market.

True

quote:

» DT Sedrick Ellis: It's time for a change of scenery. The No. 7 overall pick in 2008 finished with just 36 tackles and no sacks last season while the Saints ranked dead last against the run. Ellis is a poor scheme fit in Ryan's 3-4 defense.

He admits he is leaving, why is he a big free agent for us?

quote:

» WR Devery Henderson: Henderson has never played for a team outside of Louisiana. That might change in 2013, as Henderson lost a step and showed inconsistent hands while posting his worst season since 2005.

Crazier things have happened, but if he leaves I wouldn't be surprised.

Bye bye bitch

Flush with running-back depth, the Saints could look to trade restricted free agent Chris Ivory or perhaps even release Pierre Thomas in a salary-cap move. Freeing up cap space should allow the Saints to keep Bushrod from reaching the open market.

Nooooo. Not PT!!!!

Other defensive holes include a run-stuffing nose tackle and depth at cornerback.

can't really say I agree with the nose tackle part. Bunkley and Hicks could both end up playing there. It is a shame Bunkley was misused last year. He really didn't have as many snaps as you would think. And it sucks to because he is easily our best run stuffer on the interior of the line.

Hopefully we will bring in a corner via free agency.

Really hope we can keep Pierre Thomas. He's a perfect fit here, can't see him getting as much play anywhere else.

The cupboard is bare on pass rushers for Ryan's 3-4 defense

Every single time I see that someone says this, I always want to scream "WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PASS RUSHERS IN THE 4-3". We have 2 really good pass rushers who both fit well in a 3-4.

Any team that wants to be better at running the screen will be interested in him. Outside of Ray Rice, I don't know of a better screen half-back, and between the tackles he's nothing to laugh at. Never seen the dude give up on a run, ranks up there among the best, currently in the game, in yards after contact.

He isn't going anywhere, especially with Ivory being sent elsewhere.

This is why they should have fought thus to the end. I know this has nothing to do with the thread.

Was listening to a rant on the radio about why the redskins should change their name. They said there was a bounty on Indians and that's where redskins came from, then follows it up with we just got done with a bounty with the Saints.

This shite still pisses me off.

I didnt even know that this has been discussed. Didn't think his contract was that bad. I hope we don't lose PT. He's the hardest runner on our team.
