Anyone a fan?

Been one of my favorite bands since 1999 or so. Their recent work is ok, but from here to infirmary and maybe I'll catch fire are classics.

Anyone ever see them on tour?

I haven't but I like a lot of their older stuff. I honestly haven't listened to much of their newer stuff.

Didn't they play at the old Rotolos in Tigerland way back in the day?

I have no idea

That sounds like a terrible place for them to play though

I'm talking like 2000-2001, so it wasn't absurd at the time.

I'm thinking back and I may be confusing it with The Appleseed Cast show around the same time.

Goddamnit is still a damn near perfect album. Really like the Trio, and their last tour was a real throwback. They were playing real old school stuff like 97 and Cooking Wine.

Best review I ever read for the Trio: "They don't reinvent the wheel and instead understand the wheel is great invention."

Goddammit was indeed greatness

97 and cooking wine are two of my favorite songs of theirs

I wonder if they toured BR if anyone would show up?

I think it would be well attended

They pop up on some of my Pandora stations from time to time and I like their stuff. I've bought some of their songs on Itunes and I like it.

I've got a big fat fricking bone to pick with you my darling
In case you haven't heard I'm sick and tired of trying
I wish you would take my radio to bathe with you
Plugged in and ready to fall

I remember seeing Ted Leo there (only band Ive ever seen there). the regular crowd had no clue they were watching a modern rock n roll god...

Rotolos got quite a few shows that left you scratching your head. The old bar was actually a pretty cool setup for small acts.

Man, I saw them play Radio and the whole crowd sang every lyric, louder than the band. They eventually let the crowd do the last verse on their own. It's one of the best things I've ever seen at a show. It just felt... right, ya know?

Alkaline Trio are probably the best pop punk band ever. Even better than the Ramones. Yeah, I said it.
