Kid is a natural born playmaker. Will look for him to have a greater impact as a atarter. He has already had a great performance already. Future 1-2nd rounder

Sometimes when guys leave the guy behind him is often considered better because he has had time to mature, and can now focus on being the guy. We often call this addition by subtraction.

Maybe Martin has a higher ceiling than Reid, but I highly doubt he will come in and play better.

Not 2011 Reid I think he will definitely have the potential be better than 2012 Reid.

Martin has played well at times, but he hasn't been under the microscope (or pressure) that Reid has been.
Let's see if he can stand the test of time, injuries, colleagues in the D. backfield as well as Reid.
If he does, he's a very good one; probably an AA.

Ronald Martin is a better coverage safety. I have been really impressed with his play. The OP is not as crazy as y'all are making him out to be.

This not true. Martin is athletic enough to be a good player, but Reid was really really good.

Ronald Martin was burned more than any secondary guy we had this year. He missed assignments more than any of the other safeties. Go back and look at the film and you can see almost all of scores occurred when Martin came in for Loston. I'm sure he will get better with more experience and he appears to be athletic, but to say he is better than Reid is a gross misstatement. He can't even carry Reid's jock strap right now. More reaps will make him a better player.
