Those goddamned 19 year old rookies.

Is it fair to be disappointed by his rebounding numbers?

Just asking the question. The #1 overall pick. Is he so far? Yes or No?

i think some were maybe hoping for bigger stat lines from him this season (perhaps unrealistically). So in that way, he's been a disappointment to some.

...but in context, he's not a disappointment at all. He has shown a lot and looks to be a star in the making.

Not to mention, more minutes and he would have a lot more double-doubles.

Hmmm, maybe . . . I guess. I'm disappointed in the fact that my wife doesn't allow me to date.

Neither is Kyrie Irving. Just saying

But I do agree he has certainly not been a disappointment

No. He pays 30 mpg.

Per 36 he is at 9.6 rpg.

His rates are all normal for pf, let alone a 19 year old rookie with body issues who is sure to improve

ROY, dudes in the 70's in the NBA in RPGper48

He's the 35th ranked PF in Rebounds per 48.

You laughing at the stat or how I labeled it? Neither are funny and both are righteous cause for a civil war.

I was laughing at both. per48 and per36 are notoriously bad stats because stats don't work like that. That's why most intelligent analysts will filter out players with highly dissimilar usage. It's easy to get a high rebounding rate when you can go balls out for 12 minutes per game with no concern at all for PFs or fatigue.

Those stats can be taken out of context. I would imagine there are some guys who hardly play who have a better per 36/48 than many name players. Doesn't necessarily mean they are better.

Davis gets close to 10 rb/36 as a 19 year old. Hes doing fine

understandably, you have to look at it for what its worth but there's still a large number of player that play a good decent amount of minutes that are getting more production off the boards. Davis needs to become a better rebounder, his talent dictates this for sure and Monty is the first one to tell you.

I saw an F150 on my ride home yesterday with the badge on the quarter panel replace with LOBO in 3 inch chrome letters. You should totally add La Virgen de Guadalupe to the rear glass.

Is it really a disappointment that a 19 year old rookie has things he needs to work on?

Considering where he is now as a player and that rookies tend to get better, his future is blinding.

Among rookies

4th in scoring
4th in rebounding
1st in FG%
1st in Blocks per game
1st in double doubles

Pretty fricking good. He's ROY if he didn't miss time at the beginning of the season.

His scoring numbers would be a lot better if he hadn't missed something like 18 games (is that right?)
