I think he's slightly above average. I thought he was great in Backdraft, though.

I know "Death Proof" doesn't get much love on here, but he was money in that. He had some great lines.

Shitty by no means. Had some really great roles that he owned. Tombstone alone takes him to another level.

Russell is a good actor and has been excellent in quite a few movies. Dark Blue is one of the better examples and he is absolutely great in it. I love him in Death Proof, Big Trouble, the Escape movies, Breakdown- yes, he is good. He even directed Tombstone evidently.
