| Is it quicker to hand deliver your CCW application opposed to mailing? (Posted on 2/20/13 at 2:24 pm)
Didn't see a thread on the first page about it and search results came up empty. Finally bit the bullet and took the CCW course. I have fingerprints and my app complete. I've heard opposing philosophies on if hand delivering hastened the process any. What says the OB cc?

Go hand it in, esp if you dont have the digital prints. Do yourself a favor and get printed there, digitally.

Already did the prints, but have no problem showing them the trashcan and going for the digital. Appreciate it fellas.

Definitely better to hand it in at state police hq. Only took two weeks to come in.

Definitly do the digital prints. I have been told the ink prints is what delays most people.

Wow -- everybody seems to agree on the digital prints. And everybody is correct. I just had to add an "amen" before the first dissenting opinion gets posted.

As a side note, SP won't always accept ink prints. I've been told they are serious about quality prints.

Does it count if EBRSO already has them on file from the jail?

At State Police, they'll also check to make sure you have everything. That way you don't get a simple rejection 3 weeks later.

Recently? I dropped mine off today and they told me 120 days. Though, I'm sure that's an overshoot.

While better than mailing, it still has to go to the headquarters, so it will still save some time to just drive over there yourself. And they usually give you worst case on the timeframe. They told me 3 months when I dropped mine off and I think it took about half that.

They're still investigating you for domestic terrorism due to all your boating accidents.

He should go to LSP HQ (East Airport -- 1 block off Goodwood) to get printed and to turn in the application.
