The offense across the board should be much better even if CC wasn't hired. Oline will be better, receivers and qb will be better/more experienced.

On defense our secondary should be better and I think our lbers overall will be better even with the loss of minter.

So that basically leaves our dline. Freak, rascoe, Danielle, Jordan, macklin, ferguson, Thomas plus any new recruits like Herron or beckwith.

Then you have white and brazil that will contribute early as well on offense/defense/ST

How exactly are we going to be worse? I think we will be better. The schedule will be hard, but when does LSU have an easy schedule? We get aTm and Florida at home for gods sake.

We can win every game.

I think with our progress in offense and the step back in defensive experience we, at worst, will have the same record as last year.

bama is suppose to be good, ole miss is going to be decent, florida is going to be better. we have to play georgia.

I seriously doubt we have a run like we did in 2011

Biggest loss is Minter with Reid next. I think safety will be fine though with Martin and Loston and Thompson. Whoever fills in for Minter needs to step up and make big plays and position guys to where they need to be.

I'm not worried about the DL.

Defense loses a lot of depth. Schedule is brutal.

Look for 9-3 imo.

Will les allow CC to call plays? The last 3 or 4 years he has heavily influenced the O

losing mingo, montgomery, minter, reid, logan, simon, edwards, downs, and aghayere is a whole lot to replace

Didn't say we were going to have a run like 2011. I am saying the team will be BETTER then last year. And I think they will. They COULD win every game, even if its doubtfull.

We are all also assuming Georgia, Florida, ole miss will be that much better. I don't think Georgia or atm will be better then last year. Florida is a mystery, but we get them in TS. Hell, they lost to Louisville. Bama is bama.

We can even basically lose a game if we beat bama.

The last time we went undefeated for the regular season, we started out in Dallas...

you said it. The dline should be the only real concern. Sorry, but Reid looked like crap through the whole year. Kwon and jones will be back along with the deepest lber roster in the league.

Our defense wasn't THAT good last year is my point. And I am not worried about the dline.

logic would dictate this to be highly probable; however, 2011 came out of nowhere. no one expected us to run through the gauntlet we had in 2011 with fewer than 2 losses. our schedule next year is much easier than it was in 2011.

Last years team SHOULD have won every game.

agree with this except why did you add aghayere? 44 tackles and 2 sacks in his career isn't exactly noteworthy. you could argue depth i guess, but he wasn't much of a part of the line rotation his entire career.

i wouldn't go that far. we COULD have won every game the way the games we lost played out, but I wouldn't go as far to make the blanket statement we should have won every game. We weren't a better team last year than everyone we played.

There are too many what-if factors to say we'll be better. What if there's attrition like last year? Unlikely to be that bad, but it could happen.

as bad as reid was at times, you still don't know how good that other safety will be.

and both mills and collins have to grow up and continue to develop immediately. There were times last year where they were both just lost...but i'd chalk that up to inexperience. the same inexperience that you will get from the safety opposite loston.

it's going to be a young secondary that will be tested early and often.

No, but we gave wins to bama and clemson. The only stretch is the UF game, but it was certainly winnable if the offense had shown up.

Pros
- offense will have a better game planner and play caller
- all offensive skill guys are back along with most of OL
- LBs are experienced, deep, and talented
- Chavis is one of the best DCs in college football

Cons
- schedule is murder
- absolutely no OL depth other than Williford; just about none of our second OL has played a snap
- DT is a huge question mark other than AJohnson; Ferguson needs to step up; beyond those two our guys are MJohnson and QThomas who frankly have yet to do shite in a game or practice
- we lose two 1st round NFL picks at DE and replace them with Rasco and Hunter; behind them are Maclin and Allen who also have yet to do shite
- we lose Minter in the middle and replace him with Barrow who while not bad is not Minter
- JCollins is in line to start at CB and has looked not ready for SEC play
- Martin and/or Thompson will have to replace maybe the best S in college football
- depth is a concern at multiple positions

Hopefully our young guys can step up and assert themselves. We need Rasco, Hunter, Ferguson, some OL, some DL, some DB, along with some of our incoming freshmen (White, Gilmore, Beckwith) to play immediate key roles.
