They explain why it's important in the video...
Posted on 2/19/13 at 12:44 pm to BeachDude022
what did he run before
Posted on 2/19/13 at 12:44 pm to BeachDude022
Do you really think his 5.2 forty is that big of a deal?
He would outrun the majority of this site at that speed.
Even in prime condition I wouldn't expect sub 5 for him.

Dear God, just watch the video.
Posted on 2/19/13 at 12:47 pm to BeachDude022
Just tell me what is said. At work with a subpar reception on the phone and an inability to watch on the computer

Am I the only one who the video isn't working for on mobile?
Posted on 2/19/13 at 12:48 pm to The Eric
They wanna get his 40 down to 4.80 to prove to the scouts that he's basically working hard and serious about this comeback.

He's a 280+ lb pocket passer. That's not really bad at all. This is a pretty interesting experiment to me. Will be interesting to see what Garcia can do.

I can understand that but don't say ouch like most QBs run under 5. I'm sure Peyton or Brady don't

he ran a 4.8 at the combine

You can't compare jarmarcus to Peyton or Brady. lol
He has to have decent to good #s all over the board to get a look by someone.

Why not? All pocket Qbs.

Brady ran a 5.28 40 at the 2000 combine

Actually not bad for someone trying to get back in shape that hasn't run a 40 in 4 years.

I wonder what the attendance will be at his pro day? Will it be like that of TO's a couple of years ago? Are these Bleacher Reports intended to drum up attention (assuming he makes progress)?

Didn't run at the combine but hit ~4.83 at LSUs pro day according to this link. Was also around 255-260 at the workout.

Lofty physical expectations for a guy who's spent the last five years sitting around and eating fried catfish.
