It can be anything from a take out sandwich place to a nice restaurant. Are there any "don't miss it" spots?

Thanks.

Are you going to be in Crowley and Lafayette or in Crowley, and going into town for lunch?

Fezzos - Crowley

Landry's Cafe - Plate lunches West end of Lafayette near interstate.

I can get to either area and in between. I'll be finished with work by 11 am.

While you're in the area, stop at Hebert's in Maurice for some stuffed chickens, pork chops and rice dressing base. Good stuff.

And, ignore Paul Allen's troll post.

You might enjoy Charlie G's for lunch.

Don's right off the I-10 service rd. in Scott for boudin, cracklins, and hot plate lunches.

Blue Dog in Laffy on Pinhook.

Preajean's in Laffy right off of I-49 on Gloria Switch Rd.

I eat at Johnson's Boucaniere and Olde Tyme grocery each at least once a week, so take that fwiw.

You want a poboy? Olde Tyme.
You want BBQ/jambalaya/boudin? Johnson's.

Damn, son.

Dons has some of the worst boudin I've ever had, cracklins are nothing to brag about, and plate lunches are so over prices it's ridiculous.

Blue dog is very meh.

Prejeans is so touristy that it sucks.

Get out a little. Lotta good places around here that aren't turrible like those.

My neighbor brought me back 4lbs of NuNu's boudin the other day. It was gone in less than 2. I ate it plain and in an omelette.

That stuff was bangin'.

Nunus is good stuff. Uncle jackd is their biggest fan on this board.

Them, Billy's, and the best stop are so far ahead of dons its not even fair.

I still give Billy's the edge because of their pepper jack stuffed boudin ball. Check it out next time you're in the area.

I was definitely stopping at Johnson's and also Billeaud's for boudin.

What's the best thing on the menu at Johnson's?

The begnaud special is probably my favorite, but I often get the daily special.

Which one a week day is typically smoked BBQ ribs with 2 sides. Don't forget to get a piece of pie for desert.

Do you guys not like Don's off the interstate only or do you also not like the one off the frontage road in Carencro? Cause I grew up in Lafayette and even my buddies in Broussard/Scott/Youngsville agree that Don's in Carencro is one of the best.
