Paul avoided saying he disliked the name change Friday, but described the switch as bittersweet. He also said there are some people he knows in New Orleans that weren’t crazy about it.
After owner Tom Benson officially announced last month the Hornets would become the Pelicans, Paul wrote on his Twitter page: Pelicans???`I’m not rolling.’
"It is what it is," Paul said. "I like the colors, though, and the logo. Whatever makes the city happy. At the end of the day, the team has to do what it has to do." LINK

Maybe we should have consulted him on the rebrand.

Playoffs he actually tried, regular season just stood around because we traded his bestie

For me, Chris Paul does not exist. He's gone and the Pelicans will get better and better every year without him. Now let's move on and focus on our players who want to be here and who want to build something special. CP Who?

I'm pretty sure most people mean the 2007-08 season when he should have been league MVP.

Not that I actually think he is leaving LA, and I realize he mocked the name change, but distancing ourselves from the Hornets franchise could actually be more appealing to CP.
