oh and good IMO it might not have been the most polished game but it was a good way to start the season. Would have hated to start the season with a loss

Replace thy Javi.

That is all.

I'd really be upset for Nola if he would have lost this game after that masterful performance.

But hey, a W is a W.

So Nola looked great, we got one run. Does it look like an LSU team that can beat the America East Champs in a 3 game series?

Maryland is probably best opening series in several years. Good record and the ACC is good.
That pitcher was very good in Cape Cod.
LSU hit the ball but with wind and solid outfield play they still put the ball in play.
DP's were only disappointment

Yup. He's gonna have to stay this way every Friday night as we face each team's best.

I'm looking forward to seeing Eades sling it and more rounds through the lineup.

fwiw I saw a lot of positive things tonight. We had some hits that got hung up in the wind.

- Laird is extremely fast.

- Scambria was in beast mode tonight.

- Pitching looked flat out phenominal.

- 2 of Maryland's 4 hits were infield singles.

- Bregman's glove looked solid, but had some short hops to Katz.

- Raph gonna Raph

- LSU hit the ball decent in abnormal conditions against a very crafty lefty. Personally, I think it's an encouraging sign.

Yeah I saw Reed was a 21st round pick in the draft as a junior last year, really legit pitcher and we always struggle with lefties it seems. Tomorrow is a righty but he's really good too...but with the new left handed bats in the lineup, we should really string together some runs. Whenever you hit into 3 double plays in 8 innings your run production typically suffers greatly.
