Is the game on CST tomorrow, or is it just the replay later?

For as long as I can remember LSU has always struggled against crafty lefties. In the conditions, 9 hits is acceptable.

LSU was terrible against lefties in 09 and we saw how that turned out.

We're bad pretty much every year against them. Even with right hand dominated lineups...mostly because in college you rarely see any decent ones and even if it's some mediocre lefty you just arent used to seeing them so everyone cant seem to figure them out.

exactly, tonight was encouraging. Also Laird did go 0-4, but he worked a couple counts tonight and made the pitchers work to get him out.

Does it look like an LSU team that can beat the America East Champs in a 3 game series?

It was the first game. Come on, man.

How good/bad is Maryland supposed to be this year?

They are a solid team, probably Top 75 or so in the country. In the ACC though they will lose more than they win, but not be bottom of barrel in ACC. Think like 7th-8th overall.

Based on the one game they've played, I'd put them somewhere between 1 and 152.

I think I heard on the radio there were over 9000 in attendance. That's pretty good for such a cool evening

Pitching was phenominal

Note: PM said McCune is suffering from back spasms and may not pitch this weekend. He was scheduled to close Saturday if needed.

During practice in January, they were taking BP against left handed pitching as well as right handed. Blake Dean did some of the lh pitching for bp.
