| So I fired up EQ tonight for the first time in a year (Posted on 2/14/13 at 9:01 pm)
Got damn I am so far behind I don't even understand the acronyms anymore. I have about 8 lvl 65-76 toons across 6 accounts, but I think I may start a new one and TRY to level it with out twinking, in the past it's been hard and I end up making them a twink about level 20. This game is so much easier now and I miss the old days of the game being challenging before defiant gear and mercs. The community used to mean something and there were people to group with camping the spires outside of splitpaw with a full group, trains in blackburrow, drunken pulling for a group outside of Kranors for 6 hours.

It may be just because it was my first MMO but I still look back and remember havin way more fun on EQ than WoW as a whole. May have to check it out again one day

Same here. I had some a couple of people camping Hadden for the Fishbone Earring give me some gear and buffs while I was fishing for sandals and I though was god, followed a loot trail deep into blackburrow and then died. I wen't back and apologized for losing what they gave me and they then got my body back, that was my first guild.

Play on the Mac server. I have been playing on it for a year and I really love it and it is the old EQ experience you are looking for.
There is even a way you can play on it with a PC. Google PC Client EQ mac and it should point you in the right direction.

Yea, I played EQ before getting into WOW. I remember enjoying it so much more, but this was some time ago. May try and play it again this weekend.
