Didn't see it on the list and I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of people singing along at shows.

Brought my woman to her favorite band's concert as a Christmas present. Videoed EVERY song, in it's entirety. Annoying.

It's lame. Typically I go to shows that are so loud it doesn't matter anyway.

I don't think there's any shittier behavior than this. If you want to be in the very front, get there hours early like all of those people did.

I went to an awesome acoustic show last week...I was absolutely mystified by all the people recording the ENTIRE show on their phones. I go to a LOT of shows and that was the worst I've ever seen it. Are they planning on going back and watching it later? It's very distracting, but I mostly felt bad for them because they were missing a hell of a show. They were all so focused on recording it that they couldn't enjoy it!

Especially for acoustic shows. Drives me crazy. I've seen the performer literally stop the show and ask people to be quiet.

Agreed. I've had to do it at certain venues where I've had all-access and I've always felt like a real a-hole, but the only way to get backstage was through the front...I've had people try to physically block my way before.

I don't like the "incessant talkers", the folks that yell out requests or the latecomers pushing to the front.

When I'm near the Front and leave for a beer run, I try to acknowledge those I pass ("thank you", eye contact, "Old Man Coming Through") on the way out. Usually they'll recognize me on the way back, making it easier to reclaim my spot.

Man, it is hard to get back to your spot. If you get a close in spot, you've essentially agreed to not drink beer that night. Make your "concert friends" for the night. I tend to stand near the back now (old and tall), but even when you are a legit front rower, you feel like an a-hole trying to get back to your place.

Pretty much agree with that whole list. Take your photos in the first few songs and then put it away. Enjoy the moment. And at the end of the day, be considerate to those around you, but also remember that this is supposed to be fun. If your tsk-tsking someone for dancing... you're the a-hole. Lighten up.

i remember going to see van halen in baton rouge back in december 1992. alice in chains opened for them. layne staley started going off on the crowd for how stupid the people of louisiana were for nearly voting david duke into office of governor or whatever it was he ran for around that time. the crowd just about boo'd them off the stage. after the show, people were throwing all kinds of shite at them as they were boarding their bus.
