Derrick Rose could sit entire season

Obviously, as a Bulls fan, while this is disappointing, his health is most important because he is the future of the franchise.

Still a little bit surprised because they've reiterated all of this time that he would be back at some point of the season. He says in this article he can't dunk on a stride yet. Yet, it was reported almost a month ago that he had been dunking for weeks.

Oh well. By the way, Miami has a cakewalk to the Finals.

Miami has a cakewalk to the Finals regardless of Rose's health.

He should sit, even with him back that team isn't good enough to compete for a Championship. No reason to rush things like they constantly did last season.

I kind of hate this, because as much as I absolutely can't stand Rose, he makes the Heat-Bulls games frustratingly fun to watch. Coming back 100% is what's important though.

Better than him coming back to soon and risking his career. They aren't beating Miami no point in risking it

He should sit. Losing in the first or second round is not worth rushing back too fast.

It's very odd that Rose gets to be the guy that we all say he should sit and it's ok, but if this were certain other athletes across the NBA and other sports, they would be getting destroyed for some of the same quotes.

The people who would say this haven't been in the thread yet. Give them time.

Rose is being a wuss. If he sits any longer, he'll be almost retired when he comes back

Rose is smart. I'm really not that disappointed if it's all season. I've been saying this since it happened.

fwiw I wouldn't give LBJ shite for it, and I'm not an LBJ fan. These guys play so hard, they need to make sure they are 100% before they return.

I don't think he was talking about LeBron necessarily. I think he was mostly referencing Dwight, but I could be wrong.

I don't see what the big deal is. He got hurt in June of last year and most of the time it takes at least a year to recover from such an injury. Just because AP did it, doesn't mean everyone can do it. Just makes what AP did that much more impressive.

I'm just hoping that RG3 doesn't try to come back too soon since his injury occurred in January. He may have to sit the entire next season too if he isn't 100% ready and that would be the right decision.

Well that's a little different. He may be hurt, I don't know. But knowing he didn't want to be in L.A. in the first place and could go elsewhere next year, it just rubs people the wrong way. Rose is staying put.

Huh? No clue what you're talking about.

Truth hurts, I guess.

I was thinking about a Cutler typessituation mainly so... What's your point?
