I have that CD. I always considered "Happy" a hit, but could be totally wrong on that. Pretty sure it got MTV play back then.

Catherine Wheel - Black Metallic

It's not Psych Furs... Love Spit Love - Am I Wrong (although I liked their cover of "How Soon is Now")

Can't be.
I seem to remember them on the radio a lot.

Pretty sure that was their biggest... but Crank is a great song, too.

I love these threads.

As someone with a shitty memory, I read about songs I haven't heard or thought of in ages.

Stuff I used to like and have totally forgotten about.

Also I Want to Touch You.

The fact that the whole gang is here and nobody can think of another Catherine Wheel song off the top of their heads kinda validates it.

It's just that when I think one hit wonder, I tend to think of a guy like Afroman and "I Got High". Someone whom you are hard pressed to think of another song they ever did. Lou Reed only had one chart single, but it's hard to call him a one hit wonder, because he's sort of famous. He doesn't exactly fit the mold of a one hit wonder even if he only had "one hit".

I just think the term excludes critically acclaimed artists who bubbled up to the mainstream real briefly, but still have a rabid following. I mean, Sleater-Kinney only had one chart hit ("You're No Rock n Roll Fun"). But I don't think of them as a one hit wonder at all.
