How Does Cam Robinson Compare to La'el Collins in HS?

Both were top OTs coming out of LA. Collins was listed at 285 in HS and is currently in the 320lb range. Robinson is already listed at 6'6 320-330 before his senior year of school, which is Vadal Alexander big.

I haven't seen a lot of film on Robinson, but he appears to carry his weight well for his size. Does he have bad weight at this point? One thing that was impressive about Collins is how quick and strong he was for a HS lineman. Just wondering if those who have watched Robinson in person feel that he is the same level prospect.

Comming out of high school La'el could pass for the top D tackle in the country because he was so big and lean. Robinson can't be mistaken for a D tackle. He is your prototype Offensive tackle. Great quickness for his massive size. With his size and his feet, he should be a great tackle in our kick slide pass pro.

I still can't believe Collins is playing guard.

Yeah, Collins is so athletic and versatile. Love his game.

I'd love to see Robinson and Alexander playing together for a season. Two 6'6 330+ OTs is pretty daunting for opposing pass rushers.

He goes to West Monroe, I think the LSU love will be abundant.

I think Cam is better prospect coming out of high school. He carries his weight very well for someone that size. He should remain at the OT position for now but if he ever moves inside he would still be a stud.

I agree that LSU still has some work to do b/c Cam has never been the homer type. With that being said I still beleive he will be a Tiger.

Not as much as Bama. Complete toss up at this point.

As far as who is better, Cam is a better run blocker and Collins was a better pass blocker. Cam destroys his man then goes looking for someone downfield.

I've watched both play in person from the sideline. Collins is obviously quicker and uses good leverage. Cam is just a huge road block, good feet but really knows how to use his hands on pass protection. Collins will have a nice career a guard but I think Cam will ultimatly be better in college. Guess we will see.
Hopefully they can play side by side for a year...

Absolutely true. Although it's very early, Bama Is pushing harder at this point.

JJ is spot on.

Yes, it is a toss up.

Some of the people closest to Cam really like Bama ALOT.

Bama lost alot on their Oline & the coach. Perhaps any struggles this year can be portrayed Solely as shortcomings of said replacement Oline coach.
