Here is exactly what I said: I can't stand grammar Nazis, but you should know the proper phrase for use in the future. It's "I couldn't care less. I was literally trying to help you so you get the phrase right in the future. Someone sounds a tad bit sensitive

I think the last 3 yrs
Interesting, I said the last 5 years. But ok, let's switch it to your numbers.
2010 - Had a team that should've gone to the Sugar at least.
2011 - Do I really?
2012 - The Bama game in Nov actually makes me sicker to my stomach than Jan 9 sometimes. These media puppets and Bama morons aren't talking dynasty anything if things were done differently in that game. Instead, we're possibly hearing of an LSU dynasty even with 1/9.

if you see 34-6 (85%), 21-5, a west title, a SEC title, and a BCSCG appearance as awesome and I do.
Oh I do think it's awesome to an extent. This is also where you have a disconnect. You are truly happy with the results over the last 3 years? You really think LSU should be ringless over the last 3 years? Really? It's a fair question but one where your simpleton mind will undoubtedly throw out a phrase along the lines of "nega" or "remember the 90's".
quote:
No, it makes you run of the mill sports forum material. We all question our teams, players, and coaches. The idea that you think what you say/post here makes you "competent" is more than a tad amusing.
In my short time here so far, this coming from you is a riot. You don't question anything other than to ask for more gravy.

There is a lot of teams out there trying to win the same crystal ball.I remember the days presaban when we were never in contention for a major bowl much less a nt.I went to so many games and watched us dominated by bear bryant coached teams.I kind of like where we are now and would not trade ole Lester for another coach.

Not sure how old you are but I'm 38. I attended LSU in 92/93. Trust me, I know about pre-Saban. It does NOT excuse anything and everything after those guys though.
Also, I have not said to get rid of Les. I am stoked he got an OC though. A blind person could tell you there was something wrong with the O for the last 5 years. Cam can develop QB's and that has been LSU's biggest weakness. We also hear about Les meddling on the O side, so let's see what happens now. I think this could be the best OC/DC combo in all of CFB, if things pan out.
I like Les as a man and as a recruiter. His decision making in games has left a good bit to be desired. But I also recognize all the good things he brings. It's tough though when you see things like we've seen in 10, 11, and 12. I am not being unreasonable or negative when I think LSU should have, at bare minimum, 1 NC in the last 3 years.
Again though, this hire is a home run imo and it's because of Les.

He could be Sean fricking Payton and it wouldn't matter. This is Miles' offense and they're gonna run the offense the way he wants it run.
You people need to understand. This is not an assistant coaches' problem. It's the head coaches' he's the one that does the game plans for offense that hardly ever yield points.
Get ready for more of the same.
great assumption.
Reality is you don't know shite about how our offense will look. You saw us for 5 years with rough QB play which didn't allow us to do much other than run the ball and this past year with an OL that had trouble pass protecting. If you want to go Hanagriff and use the "it doesn't matter if we had Sean Payton" statement, then go ahead, but the reality is Gary Crowton wasn't a good OC, and Stud was fill in that was over his head. With an OC that Miles trusts, it is very possible he lets CC run his offense. Stop with the speculation about what you think will happen and save the negative shite if it does happen. Then rant away.

Heard rumors from a few legit sources that Miles was waiting to make the hire until he got his contract extension.
Apparently he was worried a big name OC could be brought on and then replace him if he were to be fired. The extension came and with that peace of mind. Cam Cameron, who is regarded as a premier offensive mind and will have full control to upgrade the O, was hired.

I hear a lot from legit sources. Nothing like this and he was not on the hot seat. Interesting.

It's a sports forum and not a English class term paper, Francis....lighten up.
You can either piss on the back of a team cause it loss 15% of its games in a 3 yr period or support the team cause overall, despite a failure here and there, it won 85% of its games in that period while playing in the most powerful conference in college football.
I pick supporting the team and pointing our their elite success...not perfect or the very best success, but elite level success....you can do as your wish.
If you want to spend your time pointing out the LSU failures in football, knock yourself out.
I can be pretty "happy" knowing LSU has played in 3 of 8 SECCGs and 2 of 8 BCSCGs since 05.
If you can't, so be it.

Aww, now this has gotten sad. You don't actually know the difference. It's not like you made a simple spelling error. Let's try it this way; when you say "I could care less", you're saying that you COULD care less. You were trying to say you couldn't care less. Do you get it yet? Many people make that mistake and once they are shown the light, they usually say "oh yeah!" and move on. You are still chapped about it. Weird.

You know how I know you're butt hurt? You keep trying to bring this to a "nega" vs "posi" argument. You seem to be very child-like. Your arguments are dumbing down worse and worse.

I still can't get over the fact that one guy wants to replace Miles with Jim Mcelwain or Jay Gruden...

Sorry, but I could care less.

It be cause you have gone from talkin' sports to talkin' everything but sports.
We all see "a great coach" in our own way.
Miles has a great record of success and I could care less bout all the other stuff...but that's just me.

you must not be much of a nfl fan. in case it passed you by, cameron was axed by the baltimore ravens in the middle of a playoff run becuse they thought his offensive plan SUCKED. with him gone, balimore opened up the offense and w/o camerons run, run run offense won the super bowl. he was hired because his philosphy exactly fits less's, and it won't matter who makes the calls, the plays run will be the same. miles is not going to hire anybody on the offensive side that he cannot contorl, or bend to his wishes.

I honestly didn't believe Les would address the offense's problems with a coaching change. I'm very pleased to discover Miles is not as stubborn as I previously believed him to be.

Shouldn't it be "Your arguments are dumbing down 'more and more'"?, instead of 'worse and worse'?
