This is LSU va Bama battle for the long haul. People around him don't think he is going to Ohio State, even though he is talking them up.

This could end up being the biggest recruiting battle this year for LSU, and and may be worth it. Has Ole Miss been mentioned yet?

Let the games begin.
But Please, Please, don't let this become another LC type spectacle and debacle. We could use a safety with that kind of talent for sure. How many Jack LB positon does Saban got open this year? If Saban hires Hooties GF, Coach, or relative then we will be in deep do do. Stay tuned, the games have begun.

Updating your title meant being more descriptive., not changing it for Hoottie to Laurence

People should be able to read your subject and know what the discussion is.

LSU vs Bama battle

Other than being offered by Bama, LJ hasn't said anything about even being interested in Bama. In fact, LJ has been mum on the whole recruiting process and haven't listed any favorites yet. What I'm more than sure everyone has heard is that he's a mama's boy and probably won't be going far from home. No one will probably know anything with LJ until right before he makes his decision. I'm more than sure they will be the haters who may take his way of the recruiting process the wrong way, but LJ is as humble as it gets. (Just from watching his interviews)

The fallout of LSU not landing Hootie wouldn't be as bad this recruiting year as it would be most others, because there's so much other tremendous talent to be excited about in this class. Nevertheless, I hope we get him. If not. . . well, tiger bait.

This pops up nearly every time he's mentioned in a thread. If it were me, and enough people called me a Mama's boy and said I wouldn't go far from home, I might be more inclined to go far from home. JS.

I'm curious to see what position he ends up at in college. I know everyone says safety but isnt he still growing and don't some people think he has the hips to play CB?

His mother said this on video one night after a game. Can't remember if it was a rivals.com video or not. Can't link it.

Nothing wrong with a guy be close with his mom, fact that is a very good thing. Also Les always is able to sell the parents on the values and benefits of being a Tiger. It's early but i think we got at least a 70/30 shot a this one. If you going to be a defensive back in college, why not go with The Cheif and DBU in your home state ?

Don't get me wrong.... I'm not in no way knocking LJ behind this. I'm just hoping it plays a factor in him wanting to stay closer to home.

Losing another top prospect to Bama would hurt, no matter how LSU finishes the 2014 class. The last thing we want is our #1 foe stealing top prospects from our own state. We need to lockdown the top 10-12 prospects in the state next season. Les has take a step into that direction by hiring a legitimate OC.

Ill be honest. If he goes to Alabama it won't hurt considering the others LSU is bringing into this class.

The reason most of you are going to flip out is because "the fence is down."
