This project started as an upgrade of an older HP. I realized the risers in the old case were fixed, so I just decided to build a new one.
Motherboard: Asus P877Z-V LX
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K with Cool Master 212 Evo
GPU: Asus Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600MHz
Hard Drive: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB SSD, Western Digital Green 1TB
Case: Raidmax Super Aeolus
I'm gonna clean the cords up once I get the gpu and a couple more fans in.

Welcome to the club. Looks good, some don't like the LED stuff but I like it. Gonna need a HD other than the SSD if you plan on joining Steam.

I also wondered when i saw the CPU fan, my 2500 not OC'd to near that could heat up pretty good with just the stock fan.

Yeah. Upgrade that stock fan pronto. Coolermaster Hyper 212 for about $30.

I haven't really pushed it too hard for a long period. It sits pretty stable at 34C for the most part. The plan is to get 3 more fans on the case, and maybe watercooling on the cpu. I need to look into that more. I wasn't planning on OC'ing it, but the Asus board just made it so easy.

I just slid a 2TB Western Digital Green in there. I have HDDs laying all over the place.

When you get the GPU, look up our gaming epeen thread there are some good free bench marking tool and show us your score. Someone will surely answer your one vs two card dilemma.

Sorry I couldn't get to BR and help. I'm needing to pull out my HDD from my other computer and throw it on this one. Like I said on FB, I'm in love with this Samsung 840 pro.

have you run prime at 4.4ghz? you are going to burn up your cpu if you don't add some sort of aftermarket cooler. also, did you manually OC or use the asus autoOC? I found that the asus tool was too aggressive.

Holy cable management.
I didn't even notice that he was at 4.4 on the stock cooler. What are your voltages and temps? How long did you run it in IBT or Prime95?

I used the Asus TurboV Evo. Just downloaded prime. I have the fan set to run pretty aggresively, but I haven't heard it kick up much. I guess I'll put aftermarket cooling at the top of the list. I would rather not burn the cpu.

Turn that turbo junk off asap! Completely inefficient start to OC. Look up ways to do it yourself AFTER you get a cooler

agree with blue on this one. Prior to my asrock board, I had an asus board and used the auto OC feature to see what kind of output I could get. It cranked up my cpu to 4.8 which I knew was very aggressive for the 3570k from other non auto OCers. I promptly turned that off because the auto OC programs do a good job of making it look like you have big multiplier increases while distracting you from how much they have changed the voltages, how hot your temps are, and how little stability testing they did to get you to your final numbers. As far as stability testing goes, those auto programs basically just test that your computer boots and maybe ten seconds of stress. The term "stability" has a lot of different meanings to different people who OC, but I can assure you that no one considers a boot test and 1 minute of "stress testing" to be stable.
In other words, turn the auto program off and don't fool with your bios much until you get something better than the stock cooler. At the least, get a hyper212 evo to get you by until you decide to make a bigger investment in OCing. It is widely regarded as the best bang for your buck cooler at 25-30 dollars.

Updated OP with new pics and info. I turned off the Asus overclocking, as many of you suggested. I'm looking into manual OC. I may do that over the weekend. Thanks for all the info guys. I'll update again later with a 3DMark11 score.
Benchmarked with PCMark7 and scored 5877
