Just doesn't look like you can put that much on them......what hardware store in H town has it for that price?

I'm leaning toward just getting a Weber smokey mountain instead, since I will only use it for smoking.

Same. I only grill for 2 people on normal unless its a party or Sunday afternoon with the guys. Need a new grill and want something better than the cheapo $300 grills.. ready to spend the money just not sure if the komado style is worth it

For one you can get the temperature extremely high which makes for the best steaks. Friend of mine cooked some boston butts at the camp one day. We got the temp set around 220 and they cooked for 14 hours. The temperature never varied.

Food board loves them but they are for people who suck at grilling and can't control temp.

My weber can outcook that shite any day.

And probably never had to add fuel. These things are very efficient.

We purchased a large bge dec 2011 and luv it. I know that there are other ceramic type cookers out there and they all operate on the same concept. We purchased ours at goodwood hdwe and they included a 5' table.
I did some research on the internet and found there are all priced the same - bge. You might be able to find other ceramic cookers a little better price. I was able to make my decision b/c I have two other friends with bge and went with there suggestions.

Oh and look up the episode.. I beat bobby flay in a grilled steak throwdown.

The same kind of people that cook with big green eggs are the same kind of people that marinate steaks because they cant cook worth a shite.

Anyone ever assembled one? My dad got one for christmas and wants me to put it together. I'm curious on the time needed to finish the project.

Just let me take care of it. Your hands are too soft for such an endeavor.
