I'll bet good money that it plays nothing like you're expecting.
I've heard it compared to God of War with a Batman skin. How close is that comparison?

Not really. GoW is more hack-and-slash, but you can die pretty quickly if you don't play somewhat defensively. Batman is more tactical with counters and combos. Trying to get a 20x or 30x in the really big fights is one of the more fun challenges.

I bought AA used a while back before AC came out. Played for about an hour. Was unimpressed. Did not finish it or buy AC.

It was just a bit boring honestly.

Not very close at all. This game pretty much has its own feel to it. I never thought about God of War while playing.

I was referring more to the combat system, not feel of the game.

Yeah, I know. Combat system to me really isn't alike. Honestly, the combat system gives the feel to the game imo. Feels like you're really fighting as Batman. I thought it was great.

2nd most overrated series ever behind Assassins Creed

Obvious troll is obvious.

Arkham City is one of my favorite games. I heard the sequel will be a prequel with the Justice League. Hope they don't ruin this series.

78 hit combo FTW

Broke, I'd recommend getting both, play AA first. You don't HAVE to in terms of knowing the story but there are a few references back to AA in the game.

Like sic said, AA is more linear and AC if fairly open world. Both really fun games. And I'm not necessarily a Batman "fan" per se. The video games are where I heard of most of the villains.

sry.

i will say that AC was infinitely better

I got so tired of doing the same shite in AA that it reached an Alan Wake level where I just couldn't wait to finish the game. AC has much more replay value, while i will never touch AA again

While that was my opinion, I did strategically word it to elicit a bit of a response Have to get noticed on here somehow

I enjoyed both. AA was the first really well executed Batman game that I can remember. So as a life long Batman fan it has great replay value for me.

AC is a better and less linear version of AA. Both have great stories and excellent combat engines.

fun to play once.

I beat Arkham City and I haven't touched the case since. not much in the replayability dept, IMO.

And don't talk to me about riddler challenges.

I never had any, but from some videos I've seen, if you have them, after you load your game, it will bring you to a selection screen after you select "Resume Game", and you'll pick from there.

This is on PS3, but should be the same.
