For a little trip down memory lane and to get away from the "Boom" and NSD insanity, I figure we bring this up for some humorous reminiscing.

Here are your nominees:

Stevie: The classic all-night thread between the father of Stevie Douglas and OBUDan that quickly became a top Topic of the Board candidate.

Ratphuc Hobley: The story of the day Dandy Don was trolled and a make-believe, five-star caliber linebacker recruit became a household name that would be mentioned for years to come.

Voldemort: The story of the mystery visit/non-visit of Kendall Thompson and the locating of his customized car in Baton Rouge

The One With No Chest: The story of Gunner Kiel and his last-second abandonment of LSU football to stay closer to mommy.

Momma Doesn't Approve: The story of Landon Collins' commitment at the UA game and the reaction of his momma. Hell hath no fury like a momma scorned.

I Ain't Coming To LSU: The story of Joe McKnight and his LSU-Ole Miss-USC recruitment and his visitation from then Saint Reggie Bush.

Well My Daddy Got A Job: The story of Janzen Jackson spurning LSU last minute to head to Tennesse due to father Guidry getting a job, and the roller coaster ride that ensued there.

Speedster Getting In Trouble: The story of Lache Seastrunk heading up to Oregon and the impending investigations that ensued.

He's All "The U": The story of the Rueben Randle Miami picture and his commitment to LSU

I Know People: The story of Jimmy D begging for the respect of the Recruiting Board and brought along an unsuspecting Armand Williams for the ride

Any others that I may have missed, please feel free to post some of your favorites, and who knows, you may have a winner

Added links for those of us who never saw the threads would be epic. Alot of work though, I know.

Poor Dandy was trolled into believing there was a linebacker recruit named Ratphuc Mobley that was going to be one of the top recruits once he got noticed. Dandy rolled with it for some time until the beans were spilled

I would but a majority of these are either too old to be traced back (plus this is my second username on here so I couldn't go back through my posts) or they have been deleted for how ugly they got

How about last year when some of us were called idiots for saying LSU should take Mark Laird and now he might be starting as a freshman?

This is the one I am most interested in. It has all the ingredients.

It was Hobley, my bad.

In the process of trying to find links for some of these

In my search, I also found a Ratphuc Hobley Twitter:

Kendall Thompson was really interested in LSU but had been committed to Texas since the summer of his senior year. He wanted to make a secret visit to LSU without anyone knowing. Well, in the modern age of social media, nothing is secret and it came out, Texas coaches saw it and after that things got a little fuzzy.

People said the Longhorn coaches tracked down Thompson and brought him back home, while others said they saw him in some nice customized car riding around campus. A great urban legend recruiting story

What did Christy's dad say?

I really liked the Stevie Douglas thread. One that you forgot to mention was with Jimmy D and Armand Williams. That was whacked by the admins (for good reason).

It lasted like 4 hours and was whacked.

Jimmy D had generally good insider info but wanted people to lavish him with praise. When people like Maximus would mock him or write sarcastic posts, he would get really mad.

I can't remember the exact details, but I think he had posted some info about several prospects. A couple of the leads turned out correct, the others didn't. He was getting a bit of shite from some of the older posters, so he brought out Armand, the real Armand, and asked him to defend him on TD. A generally confused Armand wrote some posts that were in support of Jimmy and people started bashing Jimmy for brining a recruit onto the site.

I could be missing a detail or two, but i think that was the general premise.

And I'm 99% + positive that it was really Armand.

Right but it got it's claim to fame on here. It started under the comments on Dandy's site IIRC

There has been no meltdown like the Joe McKnight meltdown when it comes to recruiting. Landon Collins was nothing compared to McKnight.

The McKnight one was definitely a good one

Another classic recruiting thread: Did Bryce Brown whip his dick out in the middle of a Tigerland bar and start pissing on the floor?
