They are currently 0-18, 0-9 in the SWAC. Their 3 closest losses are by double digits to teams with a combined 13-46 record. They lost to 8-11 Auburn by 50 points and to 7-14 Texas Southern by 45.

There's probably been some team close to as awful in history. Southern is gonna beat the shite out of them on Saturday in BR.

Savannah State went winless in 04, but they at least kept 3 games in single digits. Prarie View A&M was winless in 1991, but they averaged 15 more points a game than Grambling is currently.

They just need a home game against the Hogs. I'd seriously give them a legit chance.

Auburn scored more points in the 2nd half of that game than they had in any entire game to that point in the season.

Their second leading scorer is a typo.

0-18, wtf???

What is the reasoning behind some teams like SWAC schools and other schools remaining in Div 1. I know a lot of Div 2 schools would beat them in basketball. A few would easily beat them in football.

HBC's are in deep trouble, as are many other public universities as well. They are losing money, students simply cannot afford to go into greater amounts of debt in the midst of a Depression. It is far more important to maintain academic integrity and efficacy than to spend the money on athletics at this point

The official stats on Grambling's website show that the team's leading scorer is Terry Rose, a 6-foot-4 freshman guard/forward from Davenport, Fla. Rose averages 17.3 points per game and is shooting a solid 43.4 percent from the field, including 45.5 percent from 3-point range. The second-leading scorer, putting up 9.7 points per game, is also Rose. Yes, it's the same player, listed twice. Only the second time, his name is misspelled. That's the kind of year it's been for Grambling. The team's No. 2 scorer is a typo.

I lulz'd so hard at that

They just finished playing Southern. SU's much better and Grambling held them to just 59. Unfortunately GSU only scored 31.

To be fair Grambling has only 2 scholarship players due to APR. Next season I think they get their scholarships back.

Great Crowd at SU last night

I'm not sure if that's saying much.

Or what attendance has to do with it.
