I was watching this for shits and giggles last night and I have to ask if the girls are really this fricking bat shite crazy or is it all just an act?
I saw a clip and one of the girls had a meltdown about being rejected by him after knowing this random stranger for one night. Wow.
I guess the hotter the girl, the more crazy she is.
They're all fricking fine BTW. 
ETA: Also The bachelor was also talking about how being the bachelor is so awesome and a huge lifetime achievement. Heh, you would think he just became CEO of a fortune 500 company.

Yes they are all bat shite. Also, the girl with one arm has made the season watchable for me.

Thats not very hard to do. 
Lol, anyway there was one chick who was staring at the other girls like she wanted to kill them and didn't even say a word but then she was all sweet and cuddly with the bachelor. It was kinda creepy.
The talent is good this season, a couple hot black women, white women being fine as usual and one hot Arabian woman who was actually born in Iraq.

My wife won't let me watch it with her because all I do is treat it like Mystery Science Theater and make fun of everybody. I have to leave the room.

I do love the Joe Schmo show. It is a parody of all of the reality shows. So very cheesy and bad.

A kindred spirit. 
I did this the one season my wife wanted to watch it, the one where the bachelor was the Navy Doctor. I made fun of it relentlessly, so much so that she didn't finish the season and hasn't watched it since.
The only reality show that I find mildly entertaining is the Celebrity Apprentice, depending on the cast. Last season was awful, didn't watch long. But, I like it because they all do it for charity and some celebrities are actually pretty creative and effective.

Some producer gets together some big fancy date with big fancy gifts and the woman the bachelor happens to give it to thinks it was the bachelors idea and how amazing he makes them feel.

It's a combo. The girls definitely have a slight emotional instability (ie going on a reality show to hopefully get engaged to a guy you're going on 5 dates with), but I think the producers probably feed those girls booze all day so by the time evening rolls around they're wasted and thus drama ensues. Most of their eyes are glossed over during the rose ceremonies.
I get a kick out of watching this show, it's just so ridiculous. My best friend and I watch it in real time together and text each other making fun of it. I don't know anyone watching who actually takes this show seriously (except maybe future contestants).

Mine watches plenty without me. All of the Bachelors, So you think you can dance, biggest loser, etc
Pretty much all reality TV. She has horrible taste in TV.

movies as well, it's hard to squeeze in gaming time sometimes cause she gets bored really easy too..

I love making fun of how they beat you over the head with their "analogies". After couple goes skydiving/bungee jumping/cliff diving - "What we did today is much like the leap of faith you make when committing to a relationship. If we can make it through this, we can make it through anything together." Yeah, a-hole, if people only did more extreme sports together the divorce rates in this country would plummet.
And these women are so easily brainwashed by the producers it's sad. First they are told that they will find love, which as anyone knows who has been there, is about the dumbest guarantee you can make anyone. Then all of these dates take place in some fairy tale location which is going to make this guy seem a hell of a lot cooler than he probably is. Then I die laughing when they are all emotionally wrecked after getting cut and having spent maybe a total of 3 hours with him. I've had longer encounters with random women at bars.

They get upset when they get kicked out because if they get in the top 5-10 they can try and parlay it into a modeling gig or something
