I know I know the TL truck is too salty

I don't think so since they are having a watch party at the kingpin tonight but I could be wrong. I don't watch much TV.

They've already had one in NO where he goes to Kingpin, Taceaux Loceaux, Snake and Jakes, etc. Maybe it was filmed but never aired? I dont really watch the show just know he was in town in 2012 at these locations

Not a rerun. He has done No Reservations from Nola. Never done The Layover from Nola.

Taceaux Loceaux is a top 20 food truck in the country??

that is fricking comical. and why would he go to Kingpin? oh that's right .. he's gotta let us know how "street" he is and that he smokes cigarettes. o/u on how many F-bombs he drops this episode? i'll set it at 7.

all that being said .. I'll watch.

Nothing is worse than when he went to Vic's Kangaroo Bar during No Reservations so he could pose with service industry workers

ha. next you're gonna tell me he popped into Miss Mae's.

kind of reminds me of something this broad said to me months back.

R2R: "Oh hey it's been a while. You just move here? Where are you living?"

Broad: "Yeah I'm living down in the Bywater."

R2R: "Oh okay. I don't get over there much. How do you like it?"

Broad: "It's fricking great. People are just so much more real down there."

So you're saying Kingpin wouldn't be top of your list of places to go if you need to kill some time on a layover.

Ms Mae's at 6 am or later is like being in an episode of the Walking Dead. People just stumble around not saying a word. It's awesome.

Has there ever been a food/travel show in New Orleans where the local trolls didn't bitch about everything?

"Can't believe he went to drago's those oyster are awful."

of course not. too smoky. they don't serve food (not counting the overrated & oversalted TL). their beer selection is minimal. the regulars are too possessive of the bar.

I agree. He can be entertaining to watch about 5% of the time; the rest he's an insufferable douche. We get it bro!! You don't give a frick!!!

one thing I did like that I saw a couple months ago was when he and Eric Ripert and a couple other chefs dined at French Laundry. that was a cool episode. shot back in 2000 I think.

When he has chefs worth their salt around him he is a whole different person.
He tries to make up for his lack of talent with pretentiousness the rest of the time
